Pretty Pages is a growing and entrepreneurial website design and development company headquartered in Aurora, Colorado, but with team members working remotely across the US.
Pretty Pages has built a portfolio of clients across the country, and is currently seeking talented and experienced website front-end designers and developers who would be able to help take on occasional project work as Pretty Page's workload grows. This work can be done remotely and part time, according to a schedule of your choosing, provided development milestones are met, and that you are available to join occasional project calls with clients, as needed per the project.
For this role, Pretty Pages is searching for an independent contractor who can spearhead the design and development of functional, and elegant websites. Commonly, Pretty Pages develops marketing and e-commerce websites for small to mid-sized businesses, most often using Shopify, WordPress (sometimes WooCommerce) and Beaver Builder, custom HTML and CSS, plugins and related tools. Fluency in PHP and creating custom themes is not required, but can be helpful. Ditto with JavaScript and other related languages. We also cater to clients who need maintenance on their website regardless if we built it or not. For this reason we do encounter different website structures that come our way. For example, you might not be comfortable with WordPress, but if you are a pro at Squarespace, we might be able to use you. WordPress is the main platform, but not the only. Come one, come all.
We use Freshdesk for our maintenance support system. No requirement necessary, but a definite plus if you have experience with it.
An ideal person for this opportunity will have experience working in a freelance and independent contractor capacity, coupled with expertise in designing and developing exceptional websites. An ideal candidate will bring high attention to detail and best practices, a high degree of professionalism and integrity, coupled with a comfort in working in an evolving, entrepreneurial environment that can have ambiguity at times. Problem solving is a required skill. Not over-working yourself is required. Self care is important to be productive.
