5 Easy Steps to Stop Procrastinating & Get a Website

What's Holding You Back From Getting A Website?

Let’s be real. If you are selling your services or products, but don’t have a website you will not be as successful as you could be with one. If you are fine with being just a local name that pushes items out your house, car, etc… then this article is not for you. However, if you have a strong desire to see how far you really can go I am about to tell you how to stop procrastinating and get shit done.

    1. Hang out with people who inspire you to take action. This is very first thing you have to do. You might not want to accept this one, but it is true. If you sit around with people and their daily objective is to gossip, they have no goals, no ambition – then ultimately you will join the forces. This is why you can’t get shit done. Another way to start this transition is wake up and watch a motivational video or speech in the morning. I like to listen to Dr. Eric Thomas.
    2. Keep your plan simple. You know you need a website. You know you need a solid marketing plan. But, the thought of having to tackle a project that might seem overwhelming can discourage you from starting. The key is to break it up into small projects. Don’t expect to get everything done at once. Find out what needs to be done and start there and move to the next step when the last one is accomplished.
    3. Find someone who has already done it.
The best advice you can get is from someone who has already been there. If you are trying to start an online store – talk to someone with an online store. They can let you know the pros/cons of the route they took. This advice will go for any service or business idea.
    4. Clarify your goals.Make sure you know what your goal is and stick to it. For example, you might be a mechanic who will go to people to fix their vehicles. You want to make sure that your website reflects that and what makes you unique.
    5. START NOW.Waiting will get you nowhere. The truth is nothing is perfect. You will probably face obstacles, but those will be learning experiences. If you don’t start, your dream wil never be a reality. Getting a website is made up of 3 things: a domain name, a web hosting provider, and the website itself. No matter what you do, you will need your domain name so I always tell people go pick that up first. They are cheap and you’re just securing your address on the internet. Start today by getting your domain name from Namecheap. Start your domain search here
